I can do it now

These are the two types of exercise that I thought I could never do, but discovered recently that I could execute pretty well.

  1. Push-ups: When I was in high school I could barely manage 2 proper pushups. Then I go kaput. Nowadays I could easily do 10 pushups. My next goal is to execute spiderman pushups. I could only do one set and then I give up.
  2. Chin-ups: I can do proper chin-ups now. Woohoo! I never thought I'd see the day. I can do about 5 chin-ups now. Hopefully I can do more as I progress. Once I've mastered this, then the next mission would be pull-ups (which is way harder).
What about you? What have you discovered that you can do now that you never thought you could never do before?

Again the point is proven that we need to be pushed and whipped into shape. If it's just up to us... most of us would never improve ourselves. When truth be told, we could be better versions of what we are now.

same goes for me about the pushups as well. I never thought that I could easily do 10 pushups nowadays. I've read in one women fitness mag where it showed 1 pushup exercise, adding more challenges to it. Dumbbell renegade rows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL4Ygzz20gk&feature=related. Quite tiring as my stamina is not in superb condition even tho after working out for 2 years. Maybe you can try. :)

Louie: I LOVE doing renegade rows. It works your back, arms, obliques and abs all at the same time. Totally fab!

About your stamina... do you do cardio? If yes, maybe you might wanna change how you do it. Again, I'm recommending TT. Check out the website. You can download a free workout there and you can try it out the next time you hit the gym.

I do cardio but not that much. Like ppl always say that u r suppose to alternate ur cardio day and weight training day right? So most of the time, I skip. hehehe... I just focus more on weight training. Most of time, I blame it on my asthma and that I got "small" lungs. I really can't do much treadmill you know? the max is 30 mins, that also like, half walk half run, not running all the way.

Yeah. TT is fabulous. I've seen his video but I can't get much info except for the 12mins workout. I'm thinking of buying his books. Do u buy his books or just refer to youtube?
