Morning Training? Hmmm....

After much prodding and discreet psychological warfare, I finally relented and have registered to take the CFA exams and enrolled in the preparatory classes which would it up my Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting from next week.

One of the first things that crossed my mind after registering was "how the heck am I gonna fit in my training?" Now I know some of you would say that I still have five more days free. But hey, I have a life. I don't live life to just train and study, there are so many other things to do.

And so I thought that perhaps I could squeeze in my training in the morning before I go to work. I mean, my training has always been pretty intense but pretty quick so waking up an hour earlier on Tuesdays and Thursdays should be okay/

But it remains to be seen whether this is actually sustainable if not doable. Heck, it remains to be seen if I would stick to the classes in the first place. Pbthhhh...

Aizan: Good luck with the morning workouts. Its really not that hard to do. Twice a week is a good start. Maybe you will be like me soon and wake up early everyday. :-)

uhh... waking up at 6.30 is bad enough. Having to wake up an hour earlier for 30mins of fuel pre-workout to digest. Then 30mins of supersets and intervals. Then to figure out 10mins shower & get ready for work while figuring out what to eat for breakfast. I think I'll stick to sleeping under the covers for a bit. I did try to keep it up, all for a week. That whole week, my days just seemed to slowwwwwly chug along while I dream for my bed. Hope you have better luck than me!

Michelle: I know what you mean. But Rajan seems to enjoy it. So let's see whether a morning workout will be my cup of tea after this.

Craig Ballantyne did mention that having a meal before an early morning workout is not necessary. But then again I often feel hungry when I wake up in the morning.

Might buy some muesli bars... or drink up a protein shake (half portion) before the workout.

I don't recall if Craig mentioned it before so if you do subscribe to his forum or you can ask him direct, do let me know what he thinks.
Liquid nutrition for pre-workout is easily digested and would not make us feel uneasy. While solid food may take longer time to digest and our tummy may not feel too well to workout. All a matter of personal choice.
