While the Lean and Jacked programme has some resistance training incorporated, the Kettlebell 500 and Kettlebell 550 challenges made it more of a fat loss programme compared to a mass gain programme although it can be used to do both at the same time.
The Meathead manual is definitely muscle-gain oriented. Just what I need, and the workouts are just my cup of tea. Anyway, I'd like to update on my strength developments.
- I can now do 8 reps of the bicep curl using 15lbs dumbbells. Previously I could only do a maximum of 6 reps.
- I now use 20lbs dumbbells when doing dumbbell chest presses. <-- This poses a good problem. I need to buy adjustable dumbbells that could accomodate >20lbs of weights. Maybe I should invest in a barbell instead? What do you think?

Aizan: i highly recommend getting a set of variable weight dumbbells. You can buy a set of 2 dumbbells at fitness concept for RM 200. It has a rubber grip and 10kgs of weight for each. Thats a total of 20kgs. Will last you quite a while before you have to buy more.
I think I need to buy 15kg dumbbells. I've a feeling the 10kg ones won't last me very long.
